I Want a Bath!

We have no bathtub. No. Let me restate that. We have a bathtub, but we have no wall, and no faucet.

FINALLY...after months of waiting, our landlords came over last night, and ripped out our wall...

It was SO full of mold because of a leak, and the problem is, that the floor all around the tub is wrecked too., and it looks like it will be AT LEAST...3 months before they take care of that....

They are coming over today to finish the job, so hopefully by tonight there will be a usable bath tub again...which is good, cause it wasn't a whole lot of fun trying to wash my hair in the sink this morning with a prego belly....(LOL)

Now I wish that they would be able to fix my patio door..which is letting in way to much air.....

and in the middle of that, Brandy comes home from work sick with the flue, and really sick to her stomach...

ohoh...bad timing.

and then to make matters worse, I couldn't find anything for supper...Literally.

I keep forgetting to go shopping. (who does that....)

and everything else was frozen solid.

SO I had to go shop at 8.30, after they ripped apart my tub,

and we didn't get to eat till 10....

that is just asking for indigestion...(which I had all day)

but

wouldn't you figure....

This time I actually didn't get it, \

cause I was expecting it.

No Figure....

Weekend Fun!

I live for my weekends....

Friday as usual we helped out at youth....but I was absolutly exhausted...which I have been all week...Kids played some games, and then we had a really good youth service after....

Paul talked to the kids about giving stuff in our lives to God, but still keeping one hand behind our backs-hiding what we want to keep from God.....About 1/2 of them went up to the front for prayer, and we were able to talk to some of the other kids privatly about issues they face in their lives...

It was a very positive meeting.

Sat...we hadn't really made any plans...It is usually catch up day for me...work all week, and then spend all day Sat. doing grocery shopping and cleaning house...

Kendal had to work, and Brandy had to work, and Bree had Volleyball all day...

We got a call shortly after we got home from friends of ours who had symphony tickets and wanted to know if we wanted them....Scott was sick....

Oh...Yeah...do we......I don't remember when the last date we had was, because we have been so buisy....(except that I cried because all I had clean was sweats...can't go to the symphony in sweats....(STUPID HORMONES) Kendal laughed at me.

We felt bad though because I knew how much Cori wanted the night out, and so we were a little guilty...

but thanks guys...we really appreciated it...

and Scott we are praying for you that you are feeling better soon....

They were good tickets...center seat.

It was the season premiere of the Sask Tel Classics. They played both Bruch and Brahms, and we enjoyed it very much. They also had a guest artist....Pip Clarke on Violin..(I love the violin)

Anyways, the only part I didn't enjoy was trying to squeeze my fat tummy by people on our way to my seat....Did I get teased by some older people during intermission.

Anyways, if you want more info, here is a link to the RSO...

http://www.uregina.ca/rso/concert.htm

Before we went there though, we decided to make a night of it and went out for a really nice dinner at a place we had two for one coupons for....called the SOHO....I had steak and Kendal had grilled Tuna...and let me tell you....That was some of the best food we have had in a while...

We will definatly be going back there....except maybe for a cheaper meal, since we have no more coupons....

http://www.sohoregina.ca/restaurant/index.php

After the concert, we went for coffee...and then picked up Brandy from work....

We had fun...better squeeze in the alone dates before Baby Jones comes!

Sunday we had choir, so I had to be there at 9.30...

We had an awesome service...

After the evening service we hung out with some friends for a while....

It was a good weekend.....

Week 21

Wow! Hard to believe that I am already so far into the second trimester...

So far I feel pretty good...I get alot of Braxton Hicks which I don't like and need to ask the specialist about, but other then that all is good...

I think I am in trouble. I have a gymnist in there and it never quits moving...

I am however, having a great deal of trouble sleeping...mostly because of the INDIGESTION. Soon I may be sleeping while sitting up....

I also have to get up to use the washroom three times a night...

Oh well....no rest for the wicked I guess.

Almost Friday!

Almost Friday.....

I can't wait. 17. Weeks. before mat leave......I was officially 20 weeks as of yesterday...baby is half way cooked!

I am on the countdown...

Maybe then I will get something done around my house....

but I doubt it.

I am complaining miserably this morning about the woes of pregnancy.....I have INDIGESTION. Not indigestion But INDIGESTION....the Raging kind, that wakes you up in the middle of the night, and forces you to get out of bed, and STAY UP HALF OF THE NIGHT. and then get up at 6am for work. I could use a good night sleep...but knowing Krystal, she will choose this week to go into labor.

There, I have felt sorry for me, and now it will be better.

The baby's room is starting to look like a nursery now though.....There is a crib, (donated by Mercy and Brenda), we have a stroller, and yesterday we bought this....

And we like it very much....

Is it Feb 07 yet?

What else?

Well, work is quiet, and so I am glad.

Monday night we had Women's Aglow,

http://www.reginaaglow.com/

and just to show the state of my pregnant and very hormonal mind....

This time, I remembered to plug in my guitar, BUT

I got to the end of the song we were singing AND

I forgot what I was singing, and started to laugh.

These things are starting to become routine....and people are starting to talk.....

However, we did have a very good speaker....

Her name was Kanta Sethi.

She told us how she came to be a Christian after being part of the Hindu religion for 28 years.

It was very interesting., and she also had a translater for the 30 Muslim women we had invited.

We all had a great time, and all the Muslim ladies danced around with flags while we sang, and later showed us some of their dances

Our theme was East Meets West,

and so we had some Samosas, and other foods that I can't remember the names of, but have had before. They came with HOT HOT sauce.....MMMMMMM

and then guess what I had all night....you got it.....

INDIGESTION.

I drove some of the teenage girls home,

and we played some popular Bolywood music (popular with the young girls from India and Africa)

LOUD. VERY LOUD.

We had fun.

Today it is raining. and I am happy because it is not 30 above out.

I am also happy because I will be home for the first night this week, and I can watch the season premiere of CSI.

I will even work on my worship list for ladies ministry Cori....

(and I will write a note, to read the music and plug in my guitar and not laugh in the middle of the songs)

and clean my house.

and we will see what else.!

Love ya!

HEY!!!

Well hey there! This is Brandy speaking now and Technically I wasn't tied up; I was wrapped up in saran wrap so I'll tell you the story. It was one cold night ... just kidding it was at youth one Friday and we were playing all these weird games Paul made up, so of course they were weird. But anyways ... I had to be tied up in saran wrap and then roll across the room where a banana was placed and then eat it. The first one to be done won. Well I didn't win, however; I did get second place which was good considering I was the last one to roll across the floor... but our team did happen to nabb first place in the end. We got a Jones soda (my favorite) and we also got a chocolate bar !! It was so awesome. So just a reminder to those who were going to try and keep me tied up? I'm free and not planning to be tied up anytime soon. (lol) I also went to my friends soccer game the other day. He was awesome even though he doesn't like to admit it and I have also managed to get a job at Mc Donalads as well. I really enjoy it alot! The atmosphere there is amazing, but I am a strange one because I love to work. (lol) If you like work I recommend McDonalds guys. I do not have any remorse for quitting at Domino's and I have to admit this job is like heaven compared to my last job In fact I kind of look down with contempt on Domino's shh don't tell anyone ok Well holding school and a job is kinda hard but I have managed so far and I think I am doing pretty good!!! School is actually great. I have met lots of new people and new teachers! My little sister is now in grade 9 to so she is also enjoying high school too! it's awesome!!!!!! I grew my nails out to I am so happy. I have never done that before!! I am so hyped.. and Krystal and my mother are growing very big on their bellies so soon I will be an aunty and a big sister !! I can't wait !!! but I have to go now ok !!! I'll check you guys laters!!
bye bye -Brandy

Sept 14th

I'm feeling better today.....I am only choking once in a while in comparison to every two minutes....

It's cooler outside today. It is only supposed to be 20 (or for my friends in the states 66) I like that much. I am sick of cooking at work.

However, yesterday a very angry angry wasp decided that it didn't like me much while I was sitting at my computer. It was sitting on my stomach and I went to put my hand on my tummy and the nasty little piece of work stung me. hard. Needless to say, I wasn't even sure what happened, and jumped up and away from my desk....I ended up going home. My finger swelled up, my hand swelled up, and I had pain radiating up my arm....Not to mention...did anyone know that wasp stings HURT! Today it is much better...most of the swelling has gone down and now it is just my finger which is swollen and itchy....Nice.....

However, the wasp should have opted for therapy for his anger, because he is now very dead.

I went to the second choir of the year last night...and wouldn't you know it, I am still sick, so I couldn't actually sing.... Oh well, maybe by next week. We were working on some Christmas music as well as some other peices we will be working on this year. I think that it should be good....

Tonight I have to try and buckle down and do housework....

Right. We will see about that one!

Later!

Still Sick!!!

OK....this is not fun anymore.....

I have been sick for over a week now, and now I am coughing too. If I didn't have to take some extra time off work in the next little while, I would have called in sick today.....

This is the flue that never ends......

We had a good weekend otherwise though....

Friday night we had youth, and played all kinds of crazy games. (Anything that Damien comes up with is crazy....)

I sat out, cause my husband won't let me play violent games like death anymore....or dodge ball.....or any of the other ones for that matter.....

Tammy and I laugh at him.

Saturday, Kendal had to work, but then we went over to our friends Paul and Tammy for supper. Tammy made supper (whick was ok with me since I felt so wonderful,) and we provided the movie.....I can't remember which one it was but it didn't do much for me.

Then the guys had to kill each other.

x-box.

Not even fun for me.

I die.

quickly.

and paul hunts me.

Sunday morning I was on worship team.....

and just to prove the state of my hormonal brain....

Didn't plug in my guitar for the whole service....

They laughed at me.

That seems to happen ALOT lately.

Sunday night we went for coffee with some of the older people in our church...although I am not sure they would appreciate that description.....

There is one older lady who never fails to make me laugh.

She has a quaint little irish voice.....and she seems so proper.....

and she tells me this story....you just have to picture it.

She used to work at Sears.....

and one day she was in the bed and bath section, and she was helping a gentleman with some shower curtains.....

You know the kind with the little ball fringe on the sides....

and the man asks her what the plastic sheet is for...

AND what does she tell him?

In total innocense she says...

Well...It is to keep your balls dry!

I almost died laughing....

(and then you know what happens...the same thing that happens when I sneeze......)

Oh...and check out our church website.

Kendal just finished the AFX youth site....and it is rather good if I say so myself....

Except for the leaders page which isn't quite finished yet....

Sept 8th!

Ifeelbadtoday. I am sick of being sick. My sinuses hurt. I keep sneezing and peeing at the same time. (one of the great joys of pregnancy-LOL) This is going on a month with the same sinus infection. and I am sure it didn't help that I stayed up until 1 am watching a made for TV movie about Sept. 11. (I had to be up at 6am.-not the smartest thing I have done this week.)

That was rough to watch. I know I am pregnant, but I cried anyway. I don't feel bad though, cause so did Kendal.

It was the phone calls off the planes to family members that did it!

However. On a more positive note.....

I cleaned my house!

It seems some of my energy is coming back. Which is probably good, considering that with Sept. everything starts up again full speed. Most of my food aversions seem to be disappearing now which is also good.

I like food.

Nothing else very exciting for this week I'm afraid. Jason brought over the crib, but we still have to get the desk out of the room....I think we have time, since I am only 18 weeks now.

Baby moves alot...I think I might be in trouble.

No plans for the weekend yet, but I am sure they will materialize. They always seem to. We have youth tonight. I think it is an easy one though---Friday night live (Youth Service.)

Well, I am off to lunch now. Good thing I get paid to sit and chat with you all!

Later!

Love Robyn!
