Sick of being sick.....

Let's review how Robyn has spent her week....

Sunday? Jeremy puked on me twice.
Monday- he nailed me once...
Tuesday? Gracie got me twice...
Wednesday was puke free for me, but hubby had it bad and had to stay home from work...
Today? well...let's see...I have already been nailed..and it is only 8am...
Jeremy woke up at four thirty...
and had a massive temper tantrum because he didn't want to go back to bed...
this after I had insomnia till 1 am...
and then was up again at 2am with acid reflux until 3.....
At 4.30 am Jeremy woke up, and had his freak out, and it took me until 5.oo
to get him settled,
(Someone would think I was pregnant I was up so much...)
after which he decided that coming to bed with mom was an acceptable solution.
He starts to fall asleep and at 5.30....
without warning....
the flood gates opened.....
all
over
my
side
of
the
bed.

And I was having such a nice dream about the children's book I am going to write....
(Dr. Seuss...if you please
He just threw up all over me...
Not over here...
Not over there....
But right on me.....
This I swear.....)

and do you think the ungrateful little man puked on hubbys side of the bed...
Oh...no....
If you please...
He was kind enough to throw up
ALL OVER ME...

Apparently the other four times just weren't enough....

and here I was concerned I wouldn't have anything to write about today....

Here are pictures of last years puke fest which landed Jeremy in the hospital for a week....

this is getting to be a yearly routine.

Heads or Tails!

Welcome to Heads or Tails Tuesday..Hosted by the wonderful Barb
at..... well....
Heads or Tails...LOL!
This weeks challenge was HEADS "case" or TAILS - anything that rhymes with Case....
so join the fun...and use your imagination.
She made it easy this week....you can do one...or both if you feel the urge...

I decided this week to do HEADS-CASE
and show off the wonderful presents my daughter Brandy brought back from Thailand for us....in her suitCASE
(except that I forgot to take pics of Jeremys...but one of them is a rat...who wants to see a rat?

so enjoy...

There is a story behind this wallet...
My daughter bought some of her Thai friends a purse while she was visiting...
and aparently for them it was more then a months worth of their income.
They were so touched that they gave Brandy this wallet.
(and she gave it to me)
I love it because it is a symbol of my daughter's generous spirit.

I LOVE this purse.
It is the first evening bag I have ever had, and it is awesome.

These are cool too, but they will have to wait to be worn..
Or I am sure Autumn will take them off for me...

This is the outfit that Brandy bought for Gracie...
She will probably wear it this summer.

Sleep is overated...

The title says it all.
Before I had children,
I slept blissfully....
Wrapped in the deep arms of slumber....
Carried away by the sweetest of dreams...
While angels sang their lullabies in my ears...
To awaken to rays of glorious sunshine.....
To the wonderful refrains of the Hallelujah chorus

And then I had Jeremy....
nough said.

What the Heck?!?!

This was my morning.
Kid one. (Gracie)
WAAAAAAA! (3:30 am...)
and 4, and 4.30 and 5 and
You guessed it....
6:00 am

and this is Kid 2
WAAAA WAAAAAA!
5:45 am.....

Robyn didn't sleep much last night...
cause not only did I stay up with babies.....
I also worked late in the base
ment trying to clean it....

So...by the time church rolls around...
I am actually not sure I am feeling like going...

What fun will it be if Kid 1, and Kid 2 are screaming...

But like good little Christians we go
anyway...

When we get there...

Pastor Paul calls Kendal over, and says...
"I need to talk to you..."
"You better go get Robyn.."

Oh Oh...
That often means bad news...

So Kendal comes and gets Robyn...
who walks over begrudgingly and with a bad attitude....

Paul says..."I have to talk to you guys..."
"OK...so talk...."

"No, over here"
(I am thinking..this is bad, he wants privacy...)
He says...
"Are you in a good mood?"
I say...

"Depends what you have to say.....
"

Paul opens the sound booth door-to step in....

THERE IS BRANDY SITTING ON THE SOUND ROOM FLOOR!
OMG!!!!!
HOW DID SHE GET HERE?

Apparently she arrived last night, and showed up on her older sister's door...
(And was greeted by a variety of terms..none of which I am going to share here...)
This is a family friendly site.

For those who are new readers, she has been in Kelowna, and then Thailand for the past several months, and we weren't expecting her back yet....

She will be here for the next two months, working to save money for University....

Here are some pictures of the brat we just had developed...
There will be more at a later date.

(These are from her grade 12 grad)

I wish that I could say that my day got better after Brandy arrived...
(that part was obviously very cool)
but shortly after we got home from church
Jeremy started throwing up
Mostly all over me.

Odds...but Mostly Ends...

I can't believe that Gracie is already almost 4 months old. Part of me is so sad, it seems she was just born the other day, and already my youngest is growing up...
She smiles and laughs almost constantly, sleeps for 9 hours at night, and has learned to roll over. We are having nursing issues this time, and no matter what I do, I seem to be fighting a losing battle... Since she was about three weeks old, she has had bottles at church for both eve and morning service..and somewhere along the way...she decided that she was going to have two bottles a day....
no matter what....!!!????
Weird.

So she nurses most of the time, but has those two bottles a day...I have even tried to nurse her right before the bottles...(which by the way..she screams for at exactly 11am, and 7pm....) and she still wants them...even if she nursed first like she did tonight....still drank the whole bottle.

I was- and still am concerned I just don't have enough milk for her as it has been an issue for several of my children...and I have tried everything including the drug they say increases the milk....with no change in behavior on her part....

I am now going to try Fenugreek...as I have heard of many woman taking this herb with good results....

I guess we will see what happens...I really would rather nurse her as she is my last...
Maybe she just knows what she wants?

Just a thought that crossed my mind...
(I do have those once in a while...)

It seems that from the moment we are born we choose what isn't good for us despite the fact that something else would be better and safer...
from Gracie who would be better off nursing, to my 16 year old, who wants to quit school and go to hair dressing school,
to me choosing to smoke...knowing I was allergic even...
(I don't smoke now by the way..)

We choose to do that which isn't the best

No wonder God calls us sheep...LOL!
I am glad that in His mercy He looks after us....and loves us anyways...

Off my soap box...

Here are some pictures of Gracie spending some tummy time on the floor...
(which by the way...she hates..)
