Bree's Grade 8 Grad...

bree 1

Bree's Grade 8 Grad

(The above underlined statement is a link to a video of Bree's grade 8 year, kindly compiled by Judge Bryant for the students. If you click on it, you can watch the video. You have to watch carefully...but Bree is there!)

So last night was the end of an age for our family....The last of my girls graduated from Grade 8! And if I might say so, she did it with flying colors!

She won two trophies this year...one for honor role, and another for French!

Way to go Breanne!

bree 3

All of that hard work finally paid off!

and that despite some trouble with other kids in her class because she wouldn't join the "drinking, smoking" crowd...or the in crowd...

I spent the entire night video taping and crying.

(Which I would have been doing anyways, because I am hormonal....)

She was absolutly gorgeous too! (the most beautiful one up there...)

She didn't look much like my little girl, bree 5

that's for sure, with her fancy dress, and her first makeup and her hair done up so nice...

(I will post pics when I get them developed...)

Now it is on to high school, and a whole new set of decisions and trials....

In a way for Bree it will be like her first year in kindergarten all over again...

bree 6

That first step into a school with a whole bunch of bigger kids....

new rules...new teachers...new challenges...

but I think she is up to it...

She has never been afraid of what anyone thinks, and she is proud of who she is and what she believes in.

Congrats Bree! We Love You!

Baby at 6 weeks

Baby at 6 weeks

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH YOUR BABY

Your baby's length is now about 3 to 5 millimeters -- about the size of a peppercorn! The brain is forming three separate parts: the forebrain (memory and reasoning), the midbrain (translates messages from the brain to organs and limbs) and the hindbrain (regulates breathing and muscle movement). At this point the embryo is now three-dimensional and completely enclosed in the amniotic sac.

Your baby's heart is now beating and blood circulation is evident. The kidneys and liver are growing fast, and the neural tube, which connects the brain with the spinal cord, closes.

The placenta is rapidly developing, however, it will not take over hormone production until about week 12.

What absolute and complete miracles babies are!

You Were Created This Way!

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Camping with a Grand AM!

Camping with a Grand AM

Grand am

We've had our car, a 2004 Pontiac Grand AM for about a year now, and I haven't missed our minivan yet, until we tried to go camping recently. We got the kids to get all of the camping gear together so we could throw it all in the car leave town. As soon as I got home from work, we brought all the stuff and laid it out on the driveway behind the car. Instantly, I knew we were in trouble. I looked in my tiny little trunk and then at all the stuff on our driveway and knew there was no way it was all going in there.

I stuck all the sleeping bags, pillows, and other soft stuff in the back seat with the girls, then I started on the trunk. After loading the campstove, the tents, and other gear, I had aproximately 11 cubic inches left to work with. It was time for a grave ultimatum.

I assembled the whole family on the driveway, and sadly said, "We have a choice to make, Clothes or Food. You're either going to go hungry or naked, because we can't fit both."

Now I'm guessing you're wondering what they chose...

Well let's just say the flame roasted salmon and garlic butter potatoes were terrific! For some reason our campsite was the most popular one there, with no shortage of visitors. Oh yeah, I'm also really glad we managed to fit in bugspray and sunscreen!

It's Raining Babies!

Babie's Everywhere!

It is babies everywhere in the Jones house at the moment....

You wouldn't believe it....

I am prego,

My girlfriend Krystal just had her baby....

His name is Ethan, and he was a lumberjack when he was born...

9 something right off the bat....

AND...

My daughter, Krystal is also pregnant.....

Most of you probably know this by now...

and for those of you who didn't?

Well.....SURPRISE......

We phoned her a couple of weeks ago to tell her our good news.....

and instead we were the ones who got the surprise....

She is five months along...and looks pretty good, although a little tired.

Baby looks like a basketball underneath her shirt....

and she has quit smoking!

I am going to be a grandma before I am a mommy again...

and as if that isn't funny enough...Kendal will be a grandpa before he is ever a dad the first time round....

We just can't do anything in an orderly fashion in our family!

Next month she will be finding out the baby's sex....

so there will be more news then..

It is raining babies!

It's A Boy!

It's A...........

Boy!

Krystal is having a baby boy! I went with her to the ultrasound this morning and I got to see him moving around inside mommy! It was way cool!

I actually saw the "boy parts" before the technician said anything! Ultra sounds are sooo much better then they were thirteen years ago....

Krystal was dissapointed to not be able to use her girl's name...(Amira Danae) - Danae after Bree....

so now she is off to the name library to try to find a boys name!

However, she is excited to be having a son!

Every time she saw babies face she said.."Awwwww!"

Baby was being difficult however, and would not present his best face for a proper ultrasound picture, but the tech managed to at least get a side profile.

It was very cool, and also makes me excited to find out. However, I have a long ways to go to the ultrasound where they actually tell you what you are having....

(Krystal said she hopes I have one of each.... )

I am excited.

Surprise!

WE DID IT!!!!! Yaaaa!

WE'RE PREGNANT!

It took us 5 months...since we started trying at Christmas.....

I really couldn't believe it, so I had to take 5 HPTs and 2 blood tests before I would believe it....

Yeah...that makes sense....Why would I be pregnant when we were trying....

My first betas were 103 on DPO 13....

I hear that is good. I had my betas done again on DPO 23, but I don't find out the results of that until my doctors apointment tomorrow....

We were not going to tell anyone until I was 3 months along...but that didn't work too well for 2 reasons...

First..My belly has popped and people were starting to look at me a little strange at work...

and secondly Kendal and the girls have been telling everyone they know......(I think maybe they are a little excited!)

I had people I barely knew coming up to me on Sunday morning and saying "I hear that congrats are in order!"

So far I feel really good....

I have been really tired the last four days, and can't get near a chair or bed without passing out on it...including in church last night...

and I have had some low grade nausea off and on, but barely noticeable..just annoying...

So there it is People.....

BABY JONES WILL BE HERE FEB 14TH

How cool is that for a birthday....

Cloudy Thursday

Cloudy Thursday!

The title may sound depressing, but really being cloudy is a wonderful thing for me. The best thing really!

I haven't been handling the heat so well lately, and the fact that it is cloudy....also means that it is cool...

I am very happy with this.

Plus....I got to go for lunch with my hubby today, which hasn't happened much recently as he has been working way way too many hours......They are short staffed.....one guy went nuts and quit...and the other one got fired cause he stinks. (I mean both of those literally) That means that Kendal is pulling major overtime...(but not getting paid for it as he is on salary)

but today he got off because he has to go and see a surgeon about getting his wisdom teeth removed....

I am a little discouraged...it will cost $860.00

We will get reimbursed for most of it probably from Manulife, but first we have to pay for it and wait for the money to come back.

That part sucks.

However, I am glad that he had the day off. We went to a place called Brewsters cause we had a two for one coupon....and we are cheap.....

We had something called a chicken twister wrap. Yummy.

We don't have many plans for the weekend yet, but then we never do...and somehow they seem to disappear....

Saturday Kendal has to run sound for a wedding, and then Sunday after church we are meeting our friends Shawna and Jason out at Katepwa Lake. I am going to find shorts if it kills me and I am going to get wet.

They are back from Surrey now, and temporarily staying with Ja's mom in Katepwa till Ja finds a job....

By the way....good luck with your interview today Ja.....I know that you will get the job!

Hope everyone is having a good week! I will be back with an update tomorrow about Krystal's ultrasound!

Love Robyn!

Baby: 9 w2

We have elbows! Your baby is now approximately 13-17 mm crown to rump length, or about 0.51 - 0.66 inches. S/he also weighs in at 1 gram! Toe rays are present as the toes begin to form. Gonads have become testes (for boys) or ovaries (for girls). Baby will move away if touched through the uterine wall. In both shape and size, it resembles a peapod and weighs less than a tenth of an ounce / 2 grams. The eyelids are fused and won't open until week 27. The wrists are more developed, ankles have formed, and the fingers and toes are clearly visible. Arms are growing longer and bend at the elbows. By week's end, the inner workings of the ears are complete. Though you can't yet identify the sex of the fetus by ultrasound, its genitals have begun to form. By now the placenta has developed enough to support most of the critical job of producing hormones.

WOW! It's hard to believe that I am already 9.5 weeks into the job! Everything is going good so far...other then the fact that everyone is teasing me about twins as I am measuring very large for 9 weeks.....
I am already in some maternity clothes. I wasn't thinking I would need those yet, so thank God for value village and a friend who just had a baby.
My morning sickness has eased, and I am feeling lots better as far as that gos...I am still getting it, but no where near as bad...
The worst part of everything is that I am STARVING all the time...I hope that eases up soon...especially since food doesn't really appeal to me to much right now...
I am also having difficulty sleeping at night...I toss and turn all night and then get up two or three times to visit the little girls room.....Oh the joys.....
My energy is better though....

I actually went for an hour walk last night around Wascana. It was really nice and windy out after the horrible hot spell we have had here lately. It was so nice that we ate out there too. Kentucky Fried Chicken. So much for any health benifits from the walk.....

I did receive some sad news yesterday though. One of Kendal's cousins was pregnant and due at aproximatly the same time as me, and she miscarried this week....
I am going to trust God though that everything will be OK with us.
The girls are very excited.

Krystal is feeling well. She finally met her OB and he says that mother and baby are both healthy and doing great!

She looks really tired though, and she is complaining about the hungry all the time thing too. She is still working two jobs, and will continue to do so for a while yet.....

This Friday she will be finding out the sex of baby, so when I know more I will post!

Love Robyn!
