So what I want to know...Is...
Do any of these methods work?

Fisher-Price's Preschooler iPad to Hit Shelves This Summer

Author: Dennis Tarwood
Published: February 15, 2010 at 10:58 pm

If you're tired of your young child fiddling with your iPhone and constantly ordering pizzas without your consent but can't justify shelling out $499 for their first Apple slate, Fisher-Price hopes you'll ignore every economic indicator and drop $79.99 on an iXL for your 3- to 6-year-old.

The iXL, capable of nearly everything an iPad will be able to do (including ebooks, music, games, and shunning Flash), will be a hit for the Mattel division if a toy industry analyst quoted for the Bloomberg article is correct: “Kids like to emulate what they see in the larger world and especially what they see older siblings or parents doing.”
So let's all give a round of applause to providing the make-believe object that will finally let Junior play such games as "Divesting Myself From My Child's Desire for Attention", "Overstimulating the Preschooler in My Life", and "Desperately Attaching Myself to the Latest Trends in Popular Culture in Hopes of Staying Relevant in a Fatally Soft Market".
(Sorry; that last game only comes with the Mattel 2010 holiday sales add-on.)
And what must the iXL's father, 2-XL, think of this demeaning comparison to the latest fad in simplistic computing?

sigh.

80s Hair and Lobsters...

I was doing my morning blog hop,
when I came across a post over at The Mind of a Mom
She was talking about people in waiting rooms and how they
have inappropriate conversations,
so I thought I would share my inappropriate waiting room moment...
...only I was the one being inappropriate...
I saw a lady with crazy 80s hair...
and thought I would share the moment with my 20 year old daughter..

What did I get for sharing?
"MOM!  Your Crazy..."
(It took her 20 years to get this?)
and all I was trying to do was broaden my photography skills....
sigh....

On the subject of inappropriatness...(Is that actually a word?)
this is what I find on facebook this morning...

This is a conversation started by my oldest daughter
about a pic of my middle girl...
I know...real mature.

After the doctors office, my daughter Brandy brought me out for lunch
to Red Lobster...
Where we ate "inappropriate" amounts of greasy food
and Brandy started a rumor
(and it is a RUMOR)
about me being pregnant...
and encouraged my three year old to kiss a Lobster....
I told him it was Mr. Crabs off Spongebob....
Which worked fine, till we went to eat lobster...
Maybe I am taking encouraging individualism a little far...

Cake Sniffer....

Must have been a slow news day here in the Queen City!  LOL!
A 23 year old man was charged with sniffing cakes in Extra Foods...
I can just picture it...
Guy being dragged out in hand cuffs...
frosting all over his nose...

He is now in Rehab....dealing with his cake sniffing addiction..

Terrible beauty....

As I looked out my window this morning this is what I saw...
and my pictures can't even began to do justice...

Intricate snowflakes, frozen in place..
balancing carefully..
not a breath of air...
to send them shimmering to the ground,
like fairy dust,
visible one moment and gone the next..

Every branch, every blade of grass, every seed
for as far as the eye can see
wearing a jacket of frosty snow
cocooned against the elements,
keeping alive a spark of life
for springs first warm breath...

but sleeping for now...
terrible in their frozen beauty...
as silent as death, as deep as a thought
dreaming silently under gray skies
shivering in anticipation
for the seasons to change in their favor once again...

Be thou on the earth;

15 Year Old Girl Brutally Beaten

A 15 year old girl was brutally beaten while security guards look on...
Unbelievable...she is actually seeking protection from them...when she is attacked
IN FRONT OF THEM...
and they do nothing...
APPARENTLY because their contract says that they are suppose to only record and witness....
What has happened to normal human decency?
I don't care what their contract says...I think they should go to jail....

I was completely shocked and outraged when I witnessed this video...
A warning...if you have any human compassion it will make you sick.

What kind of society do we live in where people value contracts more then human life and safety....
This should be a wake up call....

The best short film of all time...

Do any of you remember this one?

Hey...Brandy...thanks for lunch...

I should have warned..this is a really cool video, but a bit of a pain to get working...
First off, it works faster if you hit the light version,
and then it gos through numbers one through one hundred twice.
My hubby didn't think it worked the first time either...

This is the website...

en.tackfilm.se
Who’s the hero of the entire world?
You take a picture of a person
(like I did with the above one of my daughter)
and insert it where they tell you,
and then they add it in the video clip I have here in the video....
It is very cool..but it takes a while to get the video going.

Thief robs arcade with a cup of coffee??

Some people think their morning cuppa java can do anything....
morning lift...
