HEADS - "Reason"

SO I posted this video of my daughter Brandy singing
"As Far as the East is from the West" by Casting Crowns...

She was the
REASON I sat there and balled like a baby--on the stage right behind her--in front of the whole audience the entire time she sang.....
Oh...and did I mention, that I had to sing right after that?? LOL!

Here I am Lord and I'm drowning
In your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where you found me
And it echoes in my mind
Keeps me awake tonight

I know you've cast my sins as far
As the East is from the West
And I stand before you now
As though I've never sinned but today
I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the East is from the West
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other

I start the day the war begins
Endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again
Your [T]ruth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away
From you leaving me this way

Jesus can you show me
Just how far the East is from the West
Cause I can't bear to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other

I know you've washed me white
Turned my darkness into light
I need your peace to get me through
To get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel
But by the truth your word reveals
I'm not holding on to you
But your holding on to me
Your holding on to me

Jesus, you know just how far
The East is from the West
I don't have to see the man I've been
Come rising up in me again
In the arms of your mercy I find rest
(The arms of your mercy I find rest)
Cause you know just how far the East is from the West
From one scar[r]ed hand to the other(x2)

(Just how far, the East is from the West) (x3)

Matters of Faith??

I don't often discuss matters of my faith on my blog, but today, I found something a little profound...although I don't suppose it should be....

Hebrews 11 records victories of faith for many people, but it also speaks of those who died "not having received the promises they asked for..." Here is what I found profound....

Despite not receiving the things they asked for..they still died in faith...just as they lived in faith....

I find that pretty amazing...especially when I consider how weak my faith can be at times just because God doesn't answer my prayers the way I want them answered, when I want them answered....
These servants of God were obedient and lived in faith regardless of a promised result.

We were commanded to live by faith whether or not we see the promise...Those servants were fully persuaded that when given a promise by God, it was true. Many of them received many victories as well through faith but not everything that was promised was received during their lifetimes....however it did not change their behavior or trust in God.

Therefor I submit that our walk in faith should NOT depend on how many times in the past God has answered our prayers, but instead on the promise He has given us. If He promised it, then live as if He will answer it....Faith is just as much a walk of obedience..NOT A DESIRED RESULT...for getting what we want...

A good thing for me to think about today.....

Hope everyone had a great Easter...there are videos and pics of my wonderful kids and grand kids below....

and tomorrow a treat! My daughter Brandy singing at church Easter Sunday.....And she ROCKED!

Brandy

As promised here are our Easter eggs...LOL...
I wish I could say I managed to get our two year olds to do them,
but Kendal and I had fun with our 16 year old and 18 year old...
The little ones colored on them for a few minutes,
but couldn't wait to see the results and went to play..
while we older ones played like kids...
