Baby: 9 w2

We have elbows! Your baby is now approximately 13-17 mm crown to rump length, or about 0.51 - 0.66 inches. S/he also weighs in at 1 gram! Toe rays are present as the toes begin to form. Gonads have become testes (for boys) or ovaries (for girls). Baby will move away if touched through the uterine wall. In both shape and size, it resembles a peapod and weighs less than a tenth of an ounce / 2 grams. The eyelids are fused and won't open until week 27. The wrists are more developed, ankles have formed, and the fingers and toes are clearly visible. Arms are growing longer and bend at the elbows. By week's end, the inner workings of the ears are complete. Though you can't yet identify the sex of the fetus by ultrasound, its genitals have begun to form. By now the placenta has developed enough to support most of the critical job of producing hormones.

WOW! It's hard to believe that I am already 9.5 weeks into the job! Everything is going good so far...other then the fact that everyone is teasing me about twins as I am measuring very large for 9 weeks.....
I am already in some maternity clothes. I wasn't thinking I would need those yet, so thank God for value village and a friend who just had a baby.
My morning sickness has eased, and I am feeling lots better as far as that gos...I am still getting it, but no where near as bad...
The worst part of everything is that I am STARVING all the time...I hope that eases up soon...especially since food doesn't really appeal to me to much right now...
I am also having difficulty sleeping at night...I toss and turn all night and then get up two or three times to visit the little girls room.....Oh the joys.....
My energy is better though....

I actually went for an hour walk last night around Wascana. It was really nice and windy out after the horrible hot spell we have had here lately. It was so nice that we ate out there too. Kentucky Fried Chicken. So much for any health benifits from the walk.....

I did receive some sad news yesterday though. One of Kendal's cousins was pregnant and due at aproximatly the same time as me, and she miscarried this week....
I am going to trust God though that everything will be OK with us.
The girls are very excited.

Krystal is feeling well. She finally met her OB and he says that mother and baby are both healthy and doing great!

She looks really tired though, and she is complaining about the hungry all the time thing too. She is still working two jobs, and will continue to do so for a while yet.....

This Friday she will be finding out the sex of baby, so when I know more I will post!

Love Robyn!
