The Sweet part of Fresh...
As I mentioned yesterday...we went to a new restaurant
called Sweet and fresh in down town Regina..
- Fresh & Sweet is the newest venture by Valley Girls Catering.
- Owners of the Brick house Bistro in Lumsden,
- and operators of several Food & Beverage outlets
- (Sherwood Forest Country Club, Tartan Curlng club,
- Currie Field, and previously of
- Regina Beach Yacht Club & Deer Valley Golf Course.
- (info from right off of their facebook page where you can become a fan)
- We went in because I was entranced by the sweet goodies I saw
- on crackbook...
- but I am also a fan of hanging out anywhere in down town Regina
- where I can watch the local color...
Of course...no breakfast would be complete without SUGAR!
Thanks Grandma.....
As you can see from the look of absolute bliss on my little sons face
Valley Girls Catering has succeeded with at least one of their sweet treats...
...and little Gracie would be happy to taste test the rest...
(but really...look at them...mmmmmmmm)
But...this is what I had...
They actually had some very interesting options on their menu
which I would like to go back and try..
but I had no imagination this day..
and only had the omlet...
But it was a good omlet... :)
My only complaint about Fresh and Sweet,
was that the waiter, although very attentive
and obviously wanting to give us good service..
was chewing gum on the job...
Please don't do that again...
and I would love to come visit...
after I lie to myself about how many calories those candy apples have... :)

Fresh& Sweet
Last weekend we went for breakfast
at a new place in Regina which I found on Facebook...
I was intrigued by their sweets actually...
although, since I am trying to lose weight,
I didn't try them...
I think I gained a couple pounds just looking.
We went with my MIL & FIL
and had fun...
Since I have only had my new camera
for a couple of days..
I brought it too...
Baby girl is intolerably cute..
so as usual..
there are a ton of pictures of her..
Apparently she wasn't impressed with breakfast.
Who can resist these eyes....

mmmmm..gourmet cheerios

Puddle Jumping!
The weather has been so wonderful lately,
that we have been taking the opportunity to stretch our winter muscles,
and walk around the park...
Of course this also gives the boy the opportunity
to do that which he likes best...
Puddle Jumping.
Puddle jumping is an art.
It must be done so that
the maximum amount of liquid is splashed
on the maximum amount of people...
Preferable innocent ones,
completely unaware of the tiny little person stalking them
with mischief in his eyes..
The uniform consists of a pair of pants..
half tucked in the boot, and half up the leg..
Therefore allowing the maximum amount of water to enter the boot..
Puddle splashing must be done about half way around the park,
therefore creating the most shivering,
once wet, so that mom and dad must carry
said bedraggled son, back to the car..
ensuring that if he didn't soak them before..
He definately has now...
| Apparently we weren't the only ones wanting to excercise our little ones.. |
