Best Shot Monday....

Jer bears first shopping trip....this was actually taken on Sat...but hey....

Eventful Saturday...

Saturday was a pretty eventful day for us, and especially for Jeremy who had all kinds of firsts...
Kendal had to work in the morning, so we all got up at 7am. Brandy and Kendal went to his job and worked, and I had promised Bree a shopping trip, and so her, Jer and I also all piled into the car. I haven't had any time to spend individually with any of my kids in ages, and so I was really looking foreward to it.
First off, Bree and I met up with my friend Brenda, and went to a "twins" sale at one of the churches in the Cathedral district... It was my second time there, and I have bought stuff both times.
This time I got a baby einstein excersaucer for $55.00. It was in very good condition, and I was really excited about it, because I had wanted one before, but they were $150.00 and I am cheap and wasn't about to pay that...
My daughter found some really cute little suits, and made me buy those too, although I have absolutly no idea where the boy is EVER going to wear them.....LOL!
When we were done there, Bree and I went out for lunch to Smitty's at the Southland mall.

When we were done, the GREAT shop began....

Have you ever shopped with a 14 year old girl?
It is VERY time consuming to say the least....
She isn't even as bad as most either....The biggest problem we were having is that they don't make clothes for real people. Bree is NOT a big girl...she is size 11, but do you think that we could find teen girl jeans any bigger then a 5? Anyways, we did eventually, but not without a lot of frusteration on Bree's part....We got to the mall at about 10 am, and by the time we left...it was 3pm.....

We did eventually find all we needed, and went to pick up Kendal and Brandy at work....
Bree decided that she needed to get a few more shirts though, and I was shopped out, so Kendal and I dropped off the girls at the mall downtown, and headed down to Wascana to enjoy the weather...(It was 18 above....)
The walk was only supposed to take about an hour, but in the middle Jeremy decided to be hungry, so I had to find a quiet place to nurse him where we would get the least interupption. We also kept bumping into people we know...
It was really nice though...Didn't even need to wear a coat.
I am really out of shape. I couldn't excercise or go for walks while I was pregnant, and I haven't been able to since I had Jer because I have had two babies living with me....so I suffered a bit.....
I am really going to have to work at the weight loss thing.
After the park, we went and picked up the girls, and went out for a coffee
at one of the local coffee shops...We had a lot of fun as the girls were in a really goofy mood. I had a mocha, Kendal had a Jones soda, I think Bree had a hot choclate, but the really funny one was Brandy...she had an expresso (double shot)....and she had never had one before...She said that she liked it, but her face when she first tasted it was priceless...Plus she wanted whipped cream..and there wasn't any...I knew what her reaction was going to be, so I snapped a picture....
It was a really good day...and after months...and I do mean months...of not being able to do anything fun with our kids...I am glad that we had the chance!

Sounds like a very busy day. Glad you were able to spend some time with the girls and have fun. The pictures are fantastic. Looks like spring is finally there.
