Jeremy's new haircut

My little toddler has a little boy haircut now...

He looks pretty cute!

Now that he is two, we are having a new challenge with him....
at home he is sweet, giving hugs and kisses,
saying please and thank you....(all on his own without reminders)
cleans up his own toys, and most of the time gos to bed very well without tears ect...

HOWEVER

Something happens to my kind sweet little boy the second he gets into a group of OTHER little 2 and 3 year olds...
and it isn't nice.
Sunday we brought him to kids craze at our church...
which is the start of Sunday school
They have a very small teaching time, or story,
free play time, snack time, and craft time.

We got in there, and my normally angelic son
started yelling NO at the top of his lungs
wouldn't sit, hit other kids for no reason
and in the end had a full out temper tantrum....
WOW!
It was so bad, that I had to get Kendal and go home from church early...
We figured maybe he wasn't feeling well...he did sleep for 7 hours straight when we got home...

Fast forward to today....
I brought him to library time at the library..
same sort of deal...other kids, games, story and singing....
Same reaction.

What gives? We get home, he says sorry mommy
and is all sugar and spice....

Has anyone else ever had this happen?
My girls never did this....
How did you handle it??

See mine is the opposite. They really wrap wire around my brain at home, but out in public they become angels!

I wish I had advice for you.

I think he is just happy to see other kids but don't yet understand the rules of socializing. :)

And indeed he is so cute!

The haircut is adorable!!!

UGH.. I don't know if I should speak my mind about the tantrums or not. Oh, why not. (Don't hate me though. :P)

It MAY be a control thing. If he acts up and you take him home, then he has control of the situation. What if instead of taking him home, just take him away from where he is.. out to the hall, a bathroom, etc., and have a calm talk with him? Like Nanny would do. LOL!

My 4 year old granddaughter has been coming home from school lately with notes from her teacher. It seems Lexi has an attitude problem. I truly believe it was the jinx I put on her mother. The one where I said, "I hope someday you have a child just like you."

Muwhahaa!

Thanks for your insight....however...no such luck...
We did try to remove him from the room, he still cried for half an hour straight..
hubby even took him from me, and almost had him calm, but then he started all over again...
We tried hugging, talking calmly ect...and he would get angry and hit, and yell no...
Frustrating to say the least...
I do agree with you though...not a good thing to let them control you into actions like that..
