It has finally happened...
After three years of posting lots and lots of pics..
I am going to have to either delete old posts
or start paying if I want to keep using blogger...
I should just explain that when you put pics on blogger
they are automatically stored on
picassa web albums.
They give you a lot of space, but I post LOTS of pics
and it has taken three years to fill my space.
I am at an impasse and really don't know what to do..
I don't really want to delete old posts...
This is my families journal,
and it would be fun for the kids to look back on..
We kind of would like to keep blogging,
We do it for our extended family,
who aren't able to be with the kids,
and see what they look like day to day...
My only other option is to pay 20 dollars a year..
(forever)
What do you think?
What should I do?

Why not just open a free photobucket account for any future images used in posts?
Why not just create another Blogger page, set it up the same, and link to it on this one and just continue from there? That or have a Flickr site for the photos and a Blogger site for the posts, link to the Flickr album from the blog. Anyway, just thoughts.
Sarah, I think that blogger stores our pics on Picassa without asking the second you post..otherwise that would be a good option..I actually have photobucket....I don't think it actually gives a choice...I might be wrong though...
and Carly, I would probably do what you suggested, but I have some uh....computer challenged family members, who it actually took three years...(not kidding) to teach how to get to the Blog....I am afraid if the pics were anywhere else...even a link...they would have difficulty...LOL! I also think opening another blog wouldn't help...It gos by username, so I would have to change my username...not really wanting to do that either..
I had no clue this happens, wow. Maybe you can write Blogger about this and compare them to other blog sites and see if they will do something about this limitation?
are you able to save earliest posts on a memory card of some kind for permanent record for the kids so then you can delete as they want. I don't know what else, I may just be one of your computer challenged family members, ha ha ha
I had no idea that you're limited to the number of pics you can have!!
Here's what I'm planning on doing at some point when I have some time....you can go to several different sites now and have your blog printed out into a book. One of the ones I'm impressed with is called Blog2Print. You can transfer every blog post (pics included) to their site and then design a book from it. Then if you want to delete pics you can or transfer them to photobucket or whatever site you want. You can also order extra books for family members who want it for a keepsake.
$20/yr isn't really that much...
