I thought that today, I would post some pics of my grandson Talon, since I don't have as many up here as I would like...
We actually don't get to see him that often, although he and his mommy live three blocks away..
She has been busy with school, and work
and I find it hard to babysit with two under two myself...
I do have my grand daughter Cassidy today...who is 6 weeks older then Gracie...
We will see how that gos....
i am looking forward to it though...

Jeremy's new haircut
My little toddler has a little boy haircut now...

He looks pretty cute!
Now that he is two, we are having a new challenge with him....
at home he is sweet, giving hugs and kisses,
saying please and thank you....(all on his own without reminders)
cleans up his own toys, and most of the time gos to bed very well without tears ect...
HOWEVER
Something happens to my kind sweet little boy the second he gets into a group of OTHER little 2 and 3 year olds...
and it isn't nice.
Sunday we brought him to kids craze at our church...
which is the start of Sunday school
They have a very small teaching time, or story,
free play time, snack time, and craft time.
We got in there, and my normally angelic son
started yelling NO at the top of his lungs
wouldn't sit, hit other kids for no reason
and in the end had a full out temper tantrum....
WOW!
It was so bad, that I had to get Kendal and go home from church early...
We figured maybe he wasn't feeling well...he did sleep for 7 hours straight when we got home...
Fast forward to today....
I brought him to library time at the library..
same sort of deal...other kids, games, story and singing....
Same reaction.
What gives? We get home, he says sorry mommy
and is all sugar and spice....
Has anyone else ever had this happen?
My girls never did this....
How did you handle it??

Wordless Wednesday
Todays Wordless Wednesday is dedicated to my daughter Brandy...mostly because she hasn't been here for several months, and we miss her...
She has been in Kelowna studying at the
Kelowna Vineyard School of Discipleship
and actually as of late just came back from a missions trip to Thailand where she was for six weeks. At the moment she is finishing her classes there and praying for direction as to what her next step will be in her walk with God...
so if you happen to think of her, and you are a praying person...you can pray that God will direct her steps....

Heads or Tails!
Heads or Tails is a weekly meme put on by the fabulous Skittles....
This week, we had two choices...Feet or feat...We could chose one or do both..
I chose Feet...

I chose Feet...
Aren't they pretty?
My friend Brenda brought me out for a pedicure...
Something I can honestly say I have never done before.
I have a hard time doing things like this for myself...
and I am also a little weird about being touched by people I don't know....
I wasn't going to do it...
I felt bad that my friend wanted to pay for it..
(I am also not so good at accepting gifts..LOL)
but it is really hard to resist the pouting of a
VERY PREGNANT WOMAN
(so i guess you could say that it was quite a FEAT to get me to get a pedicure) HA!
However, that all being said..
It was actually a lot of fun...
and quite relaxing...
They put us in massage chairs
rubbed our feet with pretty smelling stuff
and painted our toe nails to make them all pretty
Just the thing to make
a VERY PREGNANT WOMAN
and a POST PARTUM WOMAN
very happy....
The letter K
Eaton who writes the blog Passionate Fiction assigned me the letter K, and invited me to play along in the game "brought to you by the letter" (I should be good at this...it reminds me of Sesame street, which my son makes me watch every day! LOL)
Here is how it works.
If you leave a comment on this post, I will assign you a letter...
You then write ten things that you love that began with your assigned letter and post it on your blog. When people comment on your blog...you then assign them a letter, and so it continues.... so here gos....
2) The second most obvious would be K for KRYSTAL, my oldest daughter. She just had her 21 birthday this year...... (and she is holding my youngest favorite thing...which also does not start with a K...)
3)Kissing....I am not going into detail...
this is a family blog....
4)Kids...
I have five.....
Too much kissing I guess....
oh...wait...
family bog....
5)Kittens....
I love them...
but they turn into cats...
and I am not quite as fond of them...

6) Key lime Pie....
mmmmmmmm...
It is on my don't touch list for this year though...
7) Knowledge...
I love to learn new things...
8) keyboards..
Actually to be more specific....piano...
but I am running out of ideas...LOL!
I love music in every form.
I had a key board till a few years ago,
when some Yahoo broke into my house,
and stole my keyboard and my guitar...
9) King David
One of my favorite Bible characters...
I love how he worshipped..
with such abandon.
(although I won't be doing any public nude dancing anytime soon...LOL)
and God called him a friend...
I can think of nothing better I would rather be called
then a friend of God.

10)Kayacking
I used to do a lot of kayacking..
but sadly it is not something I find easy to do anymore...
maybe again someday...
So that is my list of ten Ks....
Anyone else want to play?
Here is how it works.

1) I had to laugh when Eaton assigned me the letter K...
Of course the most obvious K that I love being my husband KENDAL
We have been married for almost 12 years now, have five kids, and lots of history.......
and no...that is NOT a halo glowing around his head...(trust me)
It is a very weird shadow off of the lamp...
and if you look carefully...under my husbands rump...
is another of my favorite things...
It doesn't began with K...but I love him anyways...

This poem was written by Eaton- on her blog Passionate Fiction....
It is very well written, and I thought it worth sharing.
If you get a chance... also go over and visit one of her four blogs...
She is a great lady!
King David
Emblazoned across the heavens
Stars in their multitude call to me
Reminding me of Your ways
The path of righteousness
The marker by which I live
Do not let me falter Lord
I pray!
Watching from my roof top
Senses reeling
Dark void growing
Filling my chest with dread
Conscience torn in agony
Right or wrong--
Which way to turn?
Such beauty before me
Silken in its allure
Danger dancing on
Her glorious flesh
Bathsheba--bathing
I have already
Chosen!
Dizzying lust molten
Honey in my blood
Laboring my breath
Ruling my thoughts
You cannot refuse me
Obedience your duty
My subject; My will!
Drowning in anticipation
Lost in desire--sin
So easily explained
Excused, cast aside
Ti's my right
Ah! Yes, my right
As King!
What man would do this
Send another to die in battle
Freeing that man's wife
Uriah's blood on my
Black soul
Too late guilty
Am I lost?
Destruction hammers
On the door
I cannot, will not
Turn from this course
My Guilt written
God's decree; the Law
Punishment--redemption!

Half-way through winter

I've noticed that everyone has their own way of marking the beginning, middle, and end of seasons. You know, "For me, fall starts the day after Grey Cup," etc...
My personal idea of winter is all of December, January, and February. Which meant Thursday marked(in my mind) the halfway point. WooHoo!!!
So far it's been a very cold and snowy winter. Because I work outside a lot, I am always very impatient to get the season over and done. Oh well at least I got through it better than this guy...
I took this picture with my cell phone on the ring road on Thursday. He parked his car in the middle of the road....
.... on it's roof.

Warning: Content might be too honest to read.
I know it is probably just hormonal, but I am depressed. I am tired. I feel like I can't keep up around the house. I feel fat.....and i hurt. Every joint in my body is killing me...every time I get up it hurts. I am frustrated by our lack of income at the moment, and frustrated by my lack of education and ability to help my husband support our home. I am angry about the fact he has a job where the boss treats him like crap...(although don't get me wrong..I am glad he has a job) and I am frustrated with where my relationship with God is at the moment, and finding it hard to find time to read my Bible and pray. I feel as though I have let God down. (as though the Great God of the universe needs me to be the only one to fulfill his purpose....) I feel dry. Sad. Angry. Bitchy. (Am I allowed to say that on a family blog?) and yes...I am feeling sorry for myself...
How is that for an honest post. Maybe too much information?
I know some who would say it is....
Oh well.
It's my blog and I will cry if I want to.
