Still Sick!!!

OK....this is not fun anymore.....

I have been sick for over a week now, and now I am coughing too. If I didn't have to take some extra time off work in the next little while, I would have called in sick today.....

This is the flue that never ends......

We had a good weekend otherwise though....

Friday night we had youth, and played all kinds of crazy games. (Anything that Damien comes up with is crazy....)

I sat out, cause my husband won't let me play violent games like death anymore....or dodge ball.....or any of the other ones for that matter.....

Tammy and I laugh at him.

Saturday, Kendal had to work, but then we went over to our friends Paul and Tammy for supper. Tammy made supper (whick was ok with me since I felt so wonderful,) and we provided the movie.....I can't remember which one it was but it didn't do much for me.

Then the guys had to kill each other.

Not even fun for me.

Sunday morning I was on worship team.....

and just to prove the state of my hormonal brain....

Didn't plug in my guitar for the whole service....

They laughed at me.

That seems to happen ALOT lately.

Sunday night we went for coffee with some of the older people in our church...although I am not sure they would appreciate that description.....

There is one older lady who never fails to make me laugh.

She has a quaint little irish voice.....and she seems so proper.....

and she tells me this story....you just have to picture it.

She used to work at Sears.....

and one day she was in the bed and bath section, and she was helping a gentleman with some shower curtains.....

You know the kind with the little ball fringe on the sides....

and the man asks her what the plastic sheet is for...

AND what does she tell him?

In total innocense she says...

Well...It is to keep your balls dry!

I almost died laughing....

(and then you know what happens...the same thing that happens when I sneeze......)

Sept 8th!

Ifeelbadtoday. I am sick of being sick. My sinuses hurt. I keep sneezing and peeing at the same time. (one of the great joys of pregnancy-LOL) This is going on a month with the same sinus infection. and I am sure it didn't help that I stayed up until 1 am watching a made for TV movie about Sept. 11. (I had to be up at 6am.-not the smartest thing I have done this week.)

That was rough to watch. I know I am pregnant, but I cried anyway. I don't feel bad though, cause so did Kendal.

It was the phone calls off the planes to family members that did it!

However. On a more positive note.....

I cleaned my house!

It seems some of my energy is coming back. Which is probably good, considering that with Sept. everything starts up again full speed. Most of my food aversions seem to be disappearing now which is also good.

I like food.

Nothing else very exciting for this week I'm afraid. Jason brought over the crib, but we still have to get the desk out of the room....I think we have time, since I am only 18 weeks now.

Baby moves alot...I think I might be in trouble.

No plans for the weekend yet, but I am sure they will materialize. They always seem to. We have youth tonight. I think it is an easy one though---Friday night live (Youth Service.)

Well, I am off to lunch now. Good thing I get paid to sit and chat with you all!

Family Pics!

We had family pictures done on labor day this year by a girl I know who is very good with a camera! We figured that it was time, since I am never a part of the pictures....( I take them, and I also HATE having my own picture taken.) It has also been five years since we have had any done, and our family dynamics are about to change forever, sooo......Here are the ones we have back so far.

Hey Hey, Havent wrote in awhileI thought better, Well school is coming up in about two weeks, Im excited casue I go into Highschool, alot of people are asking me if Im scared but Im not casue Its normal school except with more people ...ALOT more people and ALOT more work! Lol but ill get through it Im going to be attending F.W. Johnson, which is alright casue I will know lots of poeple so I wont be on my own in that big school But anyways... My mom has a big belly now Brandy calls her Preggy Pop! Lol! Im really excited to have a new brother or sister ... I cant wait to find out what Gender it is! We also found out that my youth pastor and his wife Pual and Tammy are pregnant... well not paul lol but Tammy is She just a couple weeks behind my mom! I think that is awesome! So now theres My mom My sister and Tammy all pregnant! Wow! lol I think Im going to be babysitting Lol .
What else is there ? I think thats it for now! But I will write again! Cya later!

Well I haven't been on here in awhile and I thought It was about time for a new web log entry!!! Well there is so much news and story's I have to tell everyone!Well first of all my mom is pregnant and secondly so is my sister!! so I will be an aunt and a new sister around the same time... I guess that means that I will be babysitting for quite awhile Not only that My Dad will be acting kinda goofy for awhile on account of the new baby! hahah Goofy daddy I know so many other people that are pregnant as well like are pastors Paul and His wife Tammy are two weeks behind my mom! When I heard they were pregnant I thought she ment that they were going to have another child, when my mother asked me if I was surprised, I was like I knew they were going to have another one so not really and then she told me they already were! I was very suprised!!! and they all thought I thought they were trying to get it on how embarassed do you think I was? not only that but pastor Paul not only found out but told the entire youth group! I am perty sure that I turned beet red, luckly It was kind of dark! I was on the verge of falling right off the pew I sat on! But on another note I will be starting school in 2 weeks I am actually pretty mellow about the whole idea, but one thing I have to work on is doing way better on keeping my marks up last year was definatley not good, My mom said that if I didn't try this year woah I would be being chased down by a 2 by 4, I think I'll try. The only thing that scares me a little about going back to school is the fact that I will be going into Gr.11!!!! 2 more years to go and then Bible College! I will be going to CPC in Saskatoon, I fell in love with that school when I went to College connection with my youth group, it was the greatest feeling in the world and once I went I knew that I was supposed to go there, I would like to become a Missionary and a Pastor one day, I will also study English as a Pass into many countries. The places I want to go most is Africa, India, and China, mostly China though, I think I have had a facination with it since I was quite young.But till then I have to go look for a job most likeley at Mc Donald's , but I have to go now alrighty!!

First Ultrasound

Monday I had my first ultrasound! It was a pretty cool experience, and I can't believe how clear they are compared to 13 years ago....At one point we could even see baby drinking!

We were afraid that there was going to be more then one in there, but as it turned out, there was one. However he/she is bigger then we all thought! and never quits moving ....The tech was having difficulty trying to get a heart rate, as everytime she tried , baby would change position. .I think we might be in trouble! When we tried to get pictures of it, it would present it's little backside, and so the tech had to poke and prod and try some different things before we were able to get a profile shot!

Kendal was just about as funny to watch as the baby, and alternated between smiles and tears.....

By the end of the ultrasound, he wanted a doppler machine of our own!

So....the end result is that we are having a baby! (a rather active one.)

It also looks like they are going to change my due date (again-aprox Feb 7th, but we will know Monday....) as baby is measuring far bigger then thought. They say we are 15 weeks (as of today actually...) instead of 13.

We don't agree....but that's ok, as baby will come when it wants to anyways!

We will post an ultra sound picture when we can figure out how to safely scan it!

just thinking of Maternity clothes....I have already been in them for 4 weeks.

Not much else is new this week though...I am still really really tired....

Most of my morning sickness is gone now although I still have days where I feel nausea.

The heat is killing me. It has been 30 or higher now for weeks.

Monday is my first ultrasound.....YAAAAA!

This is my friend Chi from Japan. She lived with us for two weeks while she visited in Canada. We miss her and hope that she will come and visit us soon!

Buffaloo Days Parade

Buffalo Days Parade! Sat. I brought my girls to the parade. We go every year since we have moved here. We even have our own spot and woe to anyone who dares to sit there! This year Kendal ended up working...and we were dissapointed as this was the first year that he has ever missed it... However, right from the start it was definatly entertaining.....We went an hour before it started so that we could get a good place, but we shouldn't have worried this year. It was the only cold day we have had this summer....and wouldn't you know it...for once I actually dressed for hot weather! It was really really windy..... The first problem we had was that when we parked some woman almost drove her van into us...and then she parked so close that we couldn't open our door...NOT IMPRESSED....so we moved the car somewhere else where she couldn't damage our car door.... The Parade itself was a dissapointment to be honest...It seems every year it is a little bit worse. There are fewer and fewer actual floats and more and more vehicles with advertising and politicians....Pretty soon it won't even be worth going to. The funny thing though, was that there was a crazy lady sitting across the street from us....and she was by far....more entertaining ....then the parade. She was yelling at EVERYONE! The first time we noticed that there was something not quite right was when our mayor....Pat Fiaco went by in a car.....she started yelling at him..."You'de better start doing a good job....You only have one year left and then your gone. You'de better get your act together...." He blew her a kiss! You rock Pat! Then she yelled at SGI (who probably deserve it...) the girl guides (but at least she was nice to them...oh....and then the RCMP rode by on their horses in uniform, and she told them they were doing a good job in Iraq.... She embarrased some of the PATS Hockey team boys, by basically telling one young man that he was hot....(he went red) and yelling at another one to quit being lazy and get out there and play some hockey! She stood up and played in an air band all by herself when the Rock Station Mascot went by..... Anyways, You get the picture....It was very amusing.... BUT that wasn't all. I had Taco with me.... and He didn't seem to mind most of the parade...until the BC float went by with the growling bear. He was under my coat shaking within two seconds flat! Taco was almost gettting more attention then the parade! He was stealing the show. You would think People had never seen a chi before....(and I know there are a ton of them all living in Regina, because we see them every time we go to the park! Some older man with a video camera came up and asked if he could video tape him. I was uncomfortable, but I let him. He stood there for five minutes.... and every person walking in the parade, had to come over and pet him....(He growled at some of the ones in costume...) People were waving at him off the floats! When we went to leave however, I had to stand and wait AGAIN because I needed a can opener to get into my car...and I couldn't imagine trying to crawl over seats pregnant! The girls abandoned me after the parade in favor of the carnival..... but that's ok...cause Kendal and I had a date night.... which I am sure will be rare occurances for a while after baby comes.... We went for dinner to a pasta restauraunt called Alfredo's on Scarth.. It was really nice...but I guess I am not much of a judge on food right now.... I didn't like anything I ate. although Kendal said it was really good. He had Chicken Cordon Bleu...Which I promptly spat out when I tried it....He laughed at me. I had a seafood pasta which made me sick to my stomach because it tasted like white wine to me....(That would be because it was cooked in a white wine sauce.....) I guess I will be sticking to plain old meat and potatos until the end of my pregnancy......(LOL) Hormones! Oh....and did I mention that while we were standing there waiting to pay, I dumped pasta sauce all over (You guessed it- My Stomach) The waitress had to wipe me and the floor off. Real classy Robyn..... (it was a pretty cool restauraunt though...I will go back when food tastes good again...) Then we went and played some pool...which made me feel much better when I promptly whooped Kendal's ass. Not once thankyou, but twice. We gave up on the third game, when neither of us could even sink a ball for 15 minutes...... We went and watched The Lake House (G) It was pretty good for a sappy girly movie. Kendal and I both liked it. Basically I was just impressed because for once I managed to stay awake past 9 PM! Sunday we went out for lunch to Bonanza with our friends Susan and Dennis. We haven't seen them in two months because they have been gone all summer so that was nice. Bonanza scares me though. I got food poisoning the other two times I went there. I avoided their salad bar. Nothing tasted good there either...but with my taste buds being what they are right now? WHo knows..... (I still like Subway....mmmmmmsubway......) Oh.....and I forgot. Today is Kendal's and my tenth anniversary..... (He phoned and reminded me!) oops......
