Dot's Visit

Kendal's Aunty Dot is visiting from Victoria right now,
and she brought her grand son Dillion with her...
His birthday and Gracie's are one day apart...
He is a cutie...

Jeremy tried hard to play with him,
which is good, because the babies mostly ignored each other...

This is what happens when daddy does the diaper changing...

Umm....does anyone else see anything wrong here?

Like...I am thinking these might be big brothers pants...LOL!
You think he might have noticed the slight length differance...

But at least she had a diaper on..
Not like when I picked her up out of the crib in the morning...
Fortunately not dirty...
Lucky me...

New Years Day!

New Years Day we went to Aunty Anna's
 for supper.
Linda and Ralph were also there visiting
from Eston,
and so was Kendal's cousin Dwayne.
Brandy and Bree were also there for a while,
but left before dinner.

Wordless Wednesday!

Last week, I posted some pictures from our holidays
of a motel we stayed at in BC
in Three Valley Gap...
It was such an amazing and beautiful location,
I took a ton of pictures.
I can't wait to go back in a couple of years..

Evening

Night falls...

Playing with Jeremy in the dark
in the motel courtyard
by the lake.

A train in the courtyard.

There was an indoor breakfast nook,
with some tables and a little garden,
but my pictures really couldn't do it justice...
so you will just have to do with fairies..LOL!

We took the kids in a swimming pool
in the motel..
It was a neat pool..
and had pics of the titanic on all the walls..
The only problem is, that the hot tub was cold..
because their generator was down.
(They have their own generator for the motel,
because they are literally in the middle of three mountains
in the middle of no where..)

Everyone is getting ready for bed...

Looking at the website reminds me how
disappointed we were with the storm
that prevented us from seeing the
ghost town,
or the enchanted forest...
oh well...
next visit...

Things that I DON"T recommend...

I DO NOT recommend locking yourself out of the house...
Especially when it has been snowing NON STOP
all day.
I also DO NOT recommend not having your car keys...
so that not only can you NOT get in the house...
but you also can't start the car...
and go to Walmart for the shampoo
your toddlers dumped into the tub the night before...
and you also can't pick your husband up from work...

What you CAN do,
is sit in the car with a cold little boy,
and a SCREAMING one year old
who really can't understand why
we are all sitting in the cold car
instead of the nice warm house...
(Thank God I hadn't locked the car)

You can also tromp around the backyard
in knee deep snow to see if you forgot to lock the back door..
(Which of course being a conscientious person...
it was locked...)
Couldn't I have forgotten just once to  double check the doors?

Lucky for me...
I DID have my cell phone..
so my wonderful hubby was able to get a ride home,
and let me and two little popsicles into the house...

I would rather NOT repeat the last couple of hours...

After we got in the house, and wrapped up the kids
in a nice warmy (that's what my son calls it)
blanky...
I STILL had to go to the store, and get what I needed...

While I was gone, my hubby caught the kids on the couch...
with a bag of cheerios...
and didn't have the heart to say anything...

even though they aren't allowed to eat in the living room...

Notice the shared wealth my son
left on sisters blanky...
