53rd Anniversary of Ghana's Independence!
This last weekend, some friends of ours.... Matilda and Samuel,
invited us to a dinner for the 53rd Anniversary of Ghana's Independence!
Which...by the way....we jumped on...because..
A) We haven't had a date night in ages...
and the kids have spring fever...
and the kids have spring fever...
and
B) We haven't had a date night in ages....
oh...I said that already....
B) We really really enjoy cultural experiences, and thought it would be fun...
Which it was by the way...the most fun we have had in ages.
Those guys really know how to throw a party!
C) We don't get to spend much time with our friends, and that was fun too!
The food was absolutely incredible...
The outfits were beautiful...
The keynote speaker, was a very educated and well spoken woman.
Her name was Liz Quarshie, and she did a great job!
She spoke on the Theme, "Strengthening Our Youth"

The entertainment was wonderful too!
This group was called
They did a great job of getting everyone involved
dancing, singing and playing instruments.
They were a lot of fun...Hope we see them again sometime..
There was also the Caribbean Steel Band....
They were really good too.
We watch them every year at our multi - cultural festival - Mosaic..
and of course there was the dancing...
Was I ever sore the next day....
great excercise!
By the end of the night...
everyone was pretty tired...
What a great night!
For those who are interested in going next year..
(cause we sure will be if they do it again)
Tickets were $25 a person.
