Our babysitters pay us!

When most people go out and leave their little angels with a babysitter...
they have to pay for the privledge..
Not so with us.....
They paid us instead!!!!

After all...who could resist the call to have this boy (shriek and all) in their house???
I know I would pay for the pleasure.....

.........Ok....So now the truth.......

We have never left Jeremy with ANYONE EVER...and decided it was high time to adjust the little darling to the idea...

before I snapped.

and taught the boy a shriek HE had never heard before...

So the hubby and I planned to go out for coffee for an hour and leave him with said grandparents
who have been dieing to have him.....

and they paid us for the pleasure.....

OK....Actually they gave Kendal some money and told him to take me somewhere for supper...

This leaves two possibilities open...

Either.....they hoped they were paying us off to leave him there LONGER then an hour...say the whole evening...You know..maybe the restaraunt could mess up our order three times and the meal could take 2 or 3 hours instead of 1....

OR my disposition has been horribly unpleasant, being locked up with only pre-school minds for company five days a week.....and they couldn't stand it anymore.....LOL!

We went to supper at Brewsters.......and had the Seafood Penne...
which was by the way....FANTABULUS.....(is that really a word...)

BUT we were only gone an hour....
Hard to enjoy yourself for long with thoughts like...
Is he crying...
Does he think we abandoned him
floating around in your head...

When we got back to Grandma and Grandpa however....
He was sitting quite quietly in a pile of toys...
babbling away...
I don't think he even realized we had gone anywhere...
Or if he did....he didn't care...
(traitor...)

Thanks for supper Grandma and Grandpa....Maybe we can have a little bit of a life again now once in a while.....

The Year in Review-October

By now Jeremy was nine months old, and my maternity leave was running out pretty fast....We had a plan for what to do after since I was not returning back to work...but it was still in progress...

We moved into our new house in the last weekend of September, and so basically we spent this month in the midst of moving madness....We couldn't find anything...especially me for some reason...I had to keep washing the same pair of jeans for a month straight because I couldn't find the box with my pants in it. (LOL)
We liked our new house even though it was a little smaller...it just gave us an excuse to get rid of a bunch of stuff we didn't really need in the first place...and we LOVE the neighborhood...it is SOOOO quiet...a nice break after Brown st...We have a Huge back yard, but can I say again...how much I DESPISE moving...just in case you didn't quite get it the first time I
mentioned it? Jeepers....I am tired even just thinking about it...

We had barely moved in, and Talon (my grandson) had his first birthday party. Krystal had it at Tots Cafe....A great idea since they can't wreck anything there....

He had a pretty good time, but we practically had to drag him out of a toy truck....very funny...he is a boys boy for sure....

The next weekend we went out to Lumsden for the Pumpkin Festival held at the Corn Maidens Market. Jeremy tried Pumpkin soup, which was a huge sucess...(we have since found out that anything with pumpkin is a HUGE success...he LOVES it...

They had face painting, and a corn maze...and of course LOTS and LOTS of pumpkins...We got some really good pictures...

Other highlites for the month....Jeremy got his first tooth...he stood about three weeks before that (at 8.5 months...)

We also had a birthday dinner for Bree who turned 15 this year. We had it at Thomas Cooks, as that is
where Krystal was working at the time,
and she wanted to buy us all supper...Who am I to argue??

It was a really warm fall...I was wishing we had more time for other stuff then unpacking....BUT that is pretty much what we did for the rest of the month...

AFTER YOU READ MY BLOG......You have to read mine first...cause it is really all about me...
(ROLLS EYES)...and I know where you live...(some of you anyways...)
then leave some sympathetic...or encouraging words for poor mommy over there....

The Year in Review -Sept

Sept. was the beginning of a couple months of moving hell....I hate moving, but I have never done it with a baby before...nuff said. Oh...did I mention, that the move was on my shoulders alone? My girls were busy with work and school, and my poor hubby works two jobs, and was barely home at the time....ugh....Most of the time I was so exhausted I was in a daze...
We were happy to be moving....so we sucked it up. We had found a place which was far more affordable for us, and in a neighborhood we really wanted to be in...so with baby and sometimes grandson in tow..the packing began. Jeremy was hard enough to take care of during the move, but after a while, we had to say no to our very active grandson....however....even then he managed to hurt himself...
My in laws brought him over one night, and eyes were off of him for two minutes, and he managed to pull the vcr, dvd player and the cable box off of the tv. and onto his head....Of course, I freaked out, and great grandma pulled him into the bathroom and cleaned him up-he cut himself.....A few minutes later, he was back to playing and I didn't hear anything...and so I went looking....
Sure enough, he was hidden behind a box, playing with a fishing knife...(sigh)
That was the last time my little grandson was over till we were done moving....

As if the move wasn't enough...in the middle of it, my car broke down...it turned out to be something covered by warranty, but it was still a pain in the posterior in the middle of a move...and then ....we had it back for two days...and it broke down again....

This damage was caused by the tow truck. Fortunatly once again covered....BUT STILL!

Then as if that wasn't enough...my cell phone broke, and I had to replace that as well.....Also
covered by warranty...(sigh)

School started again for my girls...Brandy decided to bus to Thom Collegiate for the year, while Bree stayed at Johnson till the move...

Lurkers....

Ok, so apparently it is national lurkers week or something....so I was wondering...How many of you are out there lurking around, and actually don't comment while you spy on us? Come say hello! We like comments and want to know who is out there in internet land....

I stole this off someone elses blog a while ago (so if you are that someone else I apologise for not linking to you, but I can't remember who you are....)
I thought that considering some of the problems we have had with our teen girls this year...this was very funny...(they would probably not agree....)
Nobody said that I was nice.....

The Year in Review-August

We weren't able to get away on our anniversary as Kendal had to work, but at least this year we did do something....(Last year we couldn't get away...Kendal gave up his holidays because they were short staffed where he works....and the guy doesn't even appreciate it......sorry, I guess that is a viscious bitter rant for another day...)
This Year we went to Moose Jaw (about 45 minutes away) and stayed at a bed and breakfast...

It was a pretty nice place..It was called Wakamow Heights..We only really slept there and had breakfast there though.
Once we were settled in, we went out for supper to Hopkins Restauraunt...It is a super nice place, and we really enjoyed ourselves...the service was excellent, and so was the food...We also went out on a romantic evening river boat tour...(but I can't find the pictures...)
It also had the added bonus of being featured on Creepy Canada...apparently this old Victorian house has a house guest.....
The next day, we went back and did a tour of the restaraunt to hear some more of the history....
We also went to a really nice tea room the next day ..

and also took Jeremy for a trip to a park so that he wasn't having to be cooped up the whole time...

The next weekend, Kendal, Jeremy and I took off to Saskatoon. The girls were at camp, so we didn't see much point in just hanging around...We stayed with his aunt Wilma, and visited with his cousin David, and his wife Krista. We also had the opportunity to visit the Wildlife Park there.
