As promised here are our Easter eggs...LOL...
I wish I could say I managed to get our two year olds to do them,
but Kendal and I had fun with our 16 year old and 18 year old...
The little ones colored on them for a few minutes,
but couldn't wait to see the results and went to play..
while we older ones played like kids...

Holy Smokes....Easter egg hunt with two toddler boys???

Hilarious and SOOO much fun....
I don't know if my grandson had ever done an Easter egg hunt before, but he was a little trooper...He got the most eggs, and ran around saying "My eggs, My eggs...." and "oh look one more egg..." over and over again...It was so funny. Both of the boys completly ignored the chocolate bunnies we had hidden in the wide open...even after looking straight at them....

We finally pointed out the bunny to Jeremy who to our complete amusement walked over, and Kicked it pointedly several times till it was under the shed....Jeremy also was doing pretty good at finding the small eggs, but we also had some big eggs out there...and imagine our amusement when he found a big egg, picked it up, looked at it...shrugged and threw it away.....LOL!

We had a great time. I will post some videos later of some of their antics, and also of our attempts to color eggs with them...(which was not so successful...LOL!

It's warming up...

Finally, the weather is starting to warm up a little bit.
The last couple of days, it has hit around 6 or 7
and so I brought the boy out to play for a while..
It was pretty mushy out,
and he was wet within two seconds flat,
but he is tough, and he had fun
for the 45 minutes we stayed outside.
I am just glad that it is warming up outside
so that he can burn off some of that
pent up energy....

Just to prove the maturity level of those who live in our house....

these are magnetic letters from one of my sons educational books....

Somehow they got onto our front door...

and this is what happens to them daily...

Somehow they create different phrases that no one admits to.....

hmmmm....

at least we are teaching our son how to spell...

My choice for this week was easy....
Before two years ago, we only had three kids...

and so my list of three are my three grown girls!!

More holiday pics

OUCH!!!!!

I think I am dieing...
Ok...so not really...
but I don't think I will be standing,
picking anything up,
moving
or doing anything else for a couple of days...

Yesterday when I got out of bed,
I had a sharp pain in my back..
as the day wore on it got worse and worse,
until I was crying out loud when picking things up off the floor...

By the time 6 pm hit, I was having spasms in my back
so bad that I couldn't move...
and after a while they were gravitating to my chest,
so I couldn't breath when I had an attack
which I was doing by sneezing,
or moving at all....
It was excrutiating

At 11 pm, I finally went to the hospital
after phoning a health line.
They wanted me to be sure it was nothing more serious then my back.
My MIL came over and sat with my sleeping children...

Sooooooo...for the next five hours we sat in Emerg...
and listened to people in the next room
talking about their daughter's alergy,
and some woman's rash,
and another man throwing up...

THAT was appetizing.

So much for expectations of privacy....
NOT

and every time I screamed...
which i did for a while every time I moved...
Everyone heard me too...

Finally I saw the doctor who told me I was having muscle spasms...
(Really? No kidding.)
and that I must have hurt myself...

I don't really know how I could have...
but there is the proof...

So now, I am on Valium,
and Nu Naprox both which are supposed to help
relax my back enough to stop it from spasming.

I didn't sleep at all...
laying down was massivly painful
and then the baby woke, so I slept about an hour
But I think the drugs are starting to work,
because I have only a constant ache this morning,
and I am having spasms far less then yesterday..
But I am still wondering how in the world
I am going to manage a toddler
and a newborn....
when I can't pick them up
and hubby has to work till 2pm..
I guess we will manage..
It isn't like I have a choice..LOL!

BC Vacation...

I had 50 undeveloped films sitting in my closet...and so for my birthday my MIL and another family friend helped me develop some of them...

These ones were taken on a family vacation about 7 years ago. We went to Victoria BC to the Crystal Gardens...It was beautiful..and I embarrassed my hubby by doing bird calls (which I do quite well) I had all of the birds clinging to our side of the cage...it was quite funny...

Unfortunately this place is now closed...but at least I have the pictures...

I can't believe how small my girls were...
